Oksana's Thoughts about our Greek Adventure
I'm so grateful to the Lord for bringing Scott into my life and for giving us twenty-one wonderful years together!
This May, the Lord gave us a very special gift and opportunity to visit Biblical places in Greece. What a blessing that was! I don't even remember the last time that just Scott and I had a "vacation" together! Our lives are so busy as most of you can relate to. And this year has been even more so than usual for us. With all the activities, we hardly had some time to just be together. We were run down and exhausted, and the Lord, knowing all of that, brought a restful and refreshing break into our lives.
I'm so touched by how God meets our physical, emotional and spiritual needs! Right before the trip, as Scott was working out our tickets from Ukraine to Athens, he told me apologetically that we would have to have a 6-hour layover the Istanbul airport. I smiled big and said excitedly, "Finally, I'll have plenty of time stuck somewhere just with you!"
We're so grateful to Dan Glick for making this trip possible and organizing our schedule to visit not only Athens, but such places as Corinth, Thessalonica, Philippi, Berea, and the Meteora monasteries. It was amazing!at
Paul wrote to the believers in one of the towns where we walked and explored, "My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Phlippians 4:19) How comforting to know that He knows our every need.
With a thankful heart, Oksana
